From the the personal pick-up at the port when you arrive to stocking the unit with essentials (coffee, wine, breakfast) before you arrive to arranging car rentals and making reservations at the local taverna, everything was spectacular. the village of exo gonia is located centrally on the island, with the award winning taverna 'metximas' 150m from the house, all resorts, villages, sights and beaches are a short drive, the nearest beach resort is kamari (3km), thira the capital is 5km from the village. the village of pyrgos is a short walk 15-20 mins (up a traditional cobbled track) from exo gonia, where there are a small selection of cafes, bars and tavernas in village square and old town.
